The $200,000 Veil
When Barrack Obama spoke, like most people, I only heard what I wanted to. I focused on his voice, body language, and only the words he emphasized. When he said “Nobody making less than $200,000 will see a tax increase,” I thought I would be okay because my taxes wouldn’t be going up. Within the first months of his term, reality set in.

Obama’s first actions as President were to distribute fictitious sums of money; what’s $800 billion between friends? I think, with this mentality, that we should just call it an even Gazillion and call it a day. If a Gazillion dollars can’t fix this economy, I don’t know what will.
Where would this money come from? I don’t make $200k, so I’m safe; right?
Taxing the small percent of the population that already pays the majority of the taxes wouldn’t be enough; I knew that somehow the president would find me. Then I here another speech praises entrepreneurs, calling them the “backbone of our country.” WHEW! I’m an entrepreneur making less than $200k; untouchable.
Thus far, my “income tax” has not changed.
But the consumable everyday items and state taxes have; dramatically.
While under the protective cover of the $200k marker, the government found other, more creative ways of taxing me.
There is a silver lining in all of this, my money will go to help illigel immigrants receive free health care. Move over Octo-Mom, I’m paying the way for DECA-MOM.
