Mr and Mrs Carter visit the Obama’s Crib
Seems like not long ago that Jay-Z revealed that he had been invited to the White House on several occasions but hadn’t taken up the invite. When Jonathan Ross asked him if he’d been to the White House he said : “..I’ve been invited a couple of times, i’ve jus been on the road with this new album [Blueprint 3], moving around and hopefully we keep him [Obama] in for 8 years, so l have 8 years to get there..”
Seems like Jigga couldn’t wait 8 years so on Wednesday, 3rd March, he took time off the Blueprint 3 tour to have a visit to the Obama House. Jay-Z, accompanied by his wifey Beyonce and Trey Songz, visited the White House and had a brief talk with the US President. The White House confirmed this on the Washington Post, which stated that Shawn ‘Jay-Z’ Carter and friends had visited the House.
By the time the Washington Post confirmed the visit, the Brooklyn rapper had already spread the word to his fans during his concert at the Verizon Center, Washington DC. Jay gave a birthday shout out to one of his fan in the audience, who’s parent happend to be a staff in the White House.
He said; ” I don’t know where you are, but happy birthday. I just came from the White House and your pop works there and said ‘Happy birthday’” .
This is most definately a good look for the HipHop world.
